Arizona in February

We were in Casa Grande until the middle of February.  We had an enjoyable time at Sundance RV Park.  We met some nice people.  We continued to play golf, go to dances and explore the desert with our jeep.

Below are some pictures of our jeep outings with Keith and Ronda.

Another jeep outing was to the Coke Ovens.  These ovens were used to burn mesquite wood, which would be turned into charcoal.  This was done in the 1930’s until all the mesquite trees in the area were gone.

At the coke ovens we met a cowboy who was out in the desert working on a cow ranch. The ranch had an estimated 10-15 thousand head of cattle roaming the desert.

We are presently in Lake Havasu City.  We are in the same park as Gary, Linda, Steve and Chris.  Steve’s sister Connie and brother-in-law Bob were here for five days, as well as  yacht club friends Dave and Joleen.

When we first arrived in the city we stayed for a week and then went to Las Vegas.  We went to Vegas to fly out to San Jose, California for Steve’s aunt and uncle’s  50th wedding anniversary.
